Mental Health Awareness Week 2021

May 2021 | News

Mental Health Awareness Week, which is hosted by the Mental Health Foundation, is in its 21st year and runs from 10-16 May.

This year, the theme for the week is ‘Nature’ and cross the country, people will be    celebrating the mental health benefits of being around nature in their local communities

In March 2020,  8 members of our staff  passed a Mental Health First Aid Training Course, giving them lifelong skills they can use inside and outside of the work place. Since then we have opened a ‘clinic’ on site and encourage staff to use to talk in confidence to our first aiders and to each other about any issues or concerns they are currently facing.

We believe this last year, more than most has been challenging for us all, and for many of us spending time outdoors has been key in getting through the covid-19 pandemic.
