World Environment Day is held on June 5th each year and is an environmental awareness day, run by the United Nations. The focus for this year is air pollution.
Amfin is situated on an industrial estate alongside the busy A47, not the most ideal of locations when trying to support the environment. However Amfin have created a small bee friendly garden in front of their facility, with flowers rich in nectar.
Air pollution makes it harder for bees to smell flowers, so they need to spend more time foraging for food. This is one of several sustainability initiatives currently in progress at Amfin.
