A very large proportion of the parts processed by Amfin require masking, either before
or during processing. This is predominantly a time consuming manual operation which
is carried out by trained and experienced operators.
However as with any manual operation it is prone to variation...
Within one week of comissioning an entry level additive manufacturing printer, Amfin have saved a potential 144 hours per annuum, in masking rework, by designing and producing a bespoke mask off this new equipment.
This initial sucess has focused the business to look towards more innovative and efficient methods that will support our traditional processes.
