Brexit Impact and Risk

Our prime objective remains the continued supply to our customers in the EU & UK without disruption.

Flow of Goods:

As the effective date on which the end of transition period approaches, we are actively working with external agents to ensure that transport issues are dealt with in an efficient and compliant manner. Please contact your Account Manager regarding transport arrangements when making deliveries into and receiving deliveries from our site.  

We have put in place systems to comply with all UK and EU customs requirements for moving goods to and from the EU. In addition, HM Revenue & Customs have awarded us Inward Processing Relief (IPR) which will enable us to import and re-export components that you send us without becoming liable for customs duties.

Staff:

Currently over 19% of our total workforce are non-nationals. Both we and our parent company have made a commitment to support and retain these highly trained and experienced individuals, with all of them now having received confirmation of settled status in the UK.

Processing:

As a service provider our regulatory and customer approvals will remain unaffected. We will continue to process parts that are sent into our facility by the customer. Given the measures that we have put in place, we are entirely confident that we will be able to maintain our current service levels and turnaround times.

Consumables:

Over the last few months, we have contacted all of our suppliers requesting information on how they will support us in relation to both a “no deal” Brexit and after the end of the transition period on 31st December 2020. They have all confirmed they are able to support us and maintain continuity.

At present we hold 3 months of all our consumables on site, which is the maximum allowed due to permitting restraints and shelf life conditions.
